Since founding the charity in January 2015, Dumfries and Galloway LGBT Plus has supported LGBT Plus adults, their families, friends, supporters and allies including those affected by long term medical conditions and their unpaid carers, to live happier, safer and healthier lives. We aim to empower LGBT people to feel safe and ultimately engage more confidently within their local communities and become active citizens.
Through our training services we promote equality, diversity and advance human rights by working with the local council, health and care providers, organisations and communities so they can better support, include and value LGBT Plus adults.
Dumfries and Galloway LGBT Plus have developed, through consultation with our members and key professional stakeholders, strategic outcomes for the next 10 years, which will allow us to achieve our mission while helping us to focus our work on the expressed needs of the community we serve: Strategic Outcomes
