In post-war Germany, liberation by the Allies does not mean freedom for everyone. Hans is repeatedly imprisoned under Paragraph 175, which criminalizes homosexuality. Over the decades, he develops an unlikely bond with his cellmate Viktor, a convicted murderer.
This screening is part of the Monday Night Film Club. A volunteer or RBC staff member will give a short introduction to a latest release, and everyone is welcome to stay for a post-film discussion. Where possible all the films on Mondays will feature either on-screen captions and / or subtitles for the hard of hearing and deaf communities.
Free tea, herbal and fruit teas, and coffee will be made available. them for the opening of a new show.
